WOOLY BEAR CATERPILLAR
The Wooly Bear (Spilosoma virginica) will grow up to be a Virginian tiger moth, oddly named because it's snowy white with a few black spots. They're found throughout the United States and some areas in Canada, including southwestern British Columbia. Wooly Bears eat grasses and soft leaves from a variety of plants, but the adult moth eats nothing (they are no danger to your sweaters).
